On October 23th 2014, members of task 1.1.3 of the DEDIPAC program met in Mainz to discuss the development of an innovative integrated method to assess dietary intake, dietary behaviour, physical activity, and sedentary behaviour using smartphone technology. A novel Android-based assessment framework was presented to assess self-report and accelometry data. During the meeting, an innovative analytical framework was developed that expands on analytical approaches that have been employed before when examining determinants impact on diet and physical activity.
