Empirical papers (e.g., meta-analyses, epidemiological studies, prevention/intervention studies) are recommended. Please also note the following when selecting the studies:
− Only English-language papers published in scientific journals are permitted.
− Preferably, more recent papers should be selected (from publication year 2000 onwards).
− www.pubmed.com is recommended as a suitable portal for literature research.
Process
At the beginning of the examination, you will present the selected studies, followed by a discussion of them.
Central aspects here are:
(1) relevance to the topic (in theoretical and practical terms)
(2) gain in knowledge (“what does this study add to what is known”)
(3) critical appraisal of the methodology.
